These twelve guided meditations all focus on different aspects of self construction – distinction making, orienting experience in reference to the self, the sense of the location of awareness. They are offered as stand-alone emptiness explorations, or as skill development for the meditator who is interested in cultivating skill and facility with releasing subtle clinging. In some ways, for me, they tell a story of the imputed self – how does the attention and sense of awareness establish some sense of fixed identity.
Just for reference are the themes (roughly) for each week’s practices:
